WOW!! I went on my first
Womens Acts Retreat a year ago in March with the
Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic
Church in Ganado,TX. I grew up not having any
kind of relationship with God or knowing
anything about him. I sent both my kids to a
church preschool. When they would come home and
ask me questions about God and I had no clue
what they were talking about, I knew I had to do
something. I went on an ACTS retreat after
making mistake after mistake and falling on my
face time and time again thinking I knew it all.
I was so moved by the fellowship, the women, and
the Holy Spirit. I NEVER would have thought I
would have went for one and then for everyone to
say how much they see I have changed now. It
really makes me feel great. I have hunted my
real dad down after not seeing or talking to him
for over 15 years. I now have my own website
www.sassyandclassygifts.us with Christian
products to show the love of God to everyone. I
also just finished taking RCIA classes at church
and was able to get baptized, and now have
communion. It is the best gift I have ever
received in my whole life. EVERYONE should
attend a retreat, you will LOVE it and wonder
why you never heard about it or went
before.--Casey Sanchez ASBVM-Ganado

Hello, my name is Aaron Saunders. I attended my
first teen ACTS retreat in December of 2009. The
weekend was a huge turning point in my life. My
faith and love for the church I attend
(assumption of the blessed virgin Mary in
Ganado,Tx) has grown tremendously! If you are a
teen or an adult and you want a completely
awesome experience, you should definitely attend
a retreat. You will not regret it!!!

The ACTS retreat was one of the most amazing
events that I have experienced. It brought me
closer to the holy Trinity and helped me to
understand the plan that God has prepared for
me. I also met a bunch of great guys that I’m
forming a tight brotherhood with.

My name is
Ashley West I attented my ACTS retreat in May
2009. I was layed off my job on June 7th, I have
put out over 20 resumes at jobs and still havent
heard anything. My husband gets his last
unemployement check on July 16th. So, I ask for
my ACTS sisters and brothers to pray that God
will supply and open up the doors so our bills
get paid; and that I get finicial aid for
college to become a nurse.
Thanks,
Ashley West

Hey Ladies,
Go on an ACTS retreat~ You will be treated like
a queen, fed like a king and loved like a
sister! It is something to do just for you.

Hello my brothers and sisters;
I was called to attend an ACTS retreat January
24-27, 2008 and all I can say is that I now see
that I have a mission on this earth and I will
not go back home to my father until I complete
it. The ACTS retreat and all my brothers that
attended made me realize that our pains,
worries, problems, etc...are just a little taste
of what our lord Jesus Christ did for us. HE IS
MY KING!

I attended my
retreat at OLG in November of 2007, guided only
by the Holy Spirit. My path through this route
has been highly enriching, as I came back with
an undescriptible sense of peace and humility.
The Lord then made me a call to serve at the
Spanish retreat at OLG last week, once again, I
received undescriptible gifts, much different
than those I got from my first retreat. I loved
serving all those women, and it was very joyful
to see the transformation in them. While some
people claim their experience as a team member
has been much deeper than that as a retreatant,
mine has been a compliment of the other. My
service experience gave me a sense of strength,
tolerance and contempt.
When I came back from my first retreat I still
did not feel part of ACTS. I did not wear my
bracelet. When I came back from serving the
Lord I got the other half and I can now wear it.
Now I am able to understand his call. I could
talk and talk for hours about all the different
signs I got from this last experience but then I
would be breaking the oath I made and so it
would be unfair for all those wonderful women
out in the world because I would be biasing
their experiences. All I can say is that if
people have a chance to attend, they should,
because it is a way to open the eyes of our
hearts and souls, so we can see through the eyes
of Jesus our Lord. God Bless you all and I pray
that many people feel the need to go as I did.

The ACTS
experience helped save my life. Now ACTS
continues to awaken the members of my parish to
the gifts of the Holy Spirit given to them in
Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. Come Holy
Spirit!

ACTS CHANGED MY WHOLE OUTLOOK ON
RELIGION, FAMILY AND FRIENDS. IT ALSO BROUGHT ME
BACK TO THE CHURCH NOT ONLY AS A MEMBER BUT
ACTIVE IN OUR MINISTRIES. IT IS A NEW WAY OF
BRINGING PEOPLE LIKE ME AND YOU BACK TO OUR
RELIGION.

ACTS has
helped me meet and get closer to other people in
my parish. I have become close friends with some
of my ACTS sisters. I know that I can count on
any of them if I need help.

ACTS has
truly changed the way I look at life. When I went
on retreat as a retreatant I was close to rock
bottom in my life, it helped me dig myself out
of that rock bottom. Once I went back as a team
member, I realized what it meant to serve, and
how serving other is so spiritually and
emotionally rewarding.

I enjoyed the
retreat a lot, and I would love to go back as a
team member someday.
