Information for those who have already attended an
ACTS
Retreat
The
ACTS
leadership (Core) team at
Our
Lady of Victory parish has established an objective to
ensure all previous retreat attendees are made aware of the
abundant opportunities for ministry, fellowship and support
available to them. Think back to the energy you felt upon
return of your unique weekend experience. That energy was
not of the flesh but of the Spirit. The two purposes of
this letter are 1) to detail many of the ways you can allow
that Spirit to work through you and 2) to provide you with
various contacts in the OLV ACTS community if you’d like
more information.
The first area of involvement pertains to all the various
activities associated with each ACTS retreat.
As you probably recall, there were numerous members of the
ACTS community present at different aspects of the retreat
(Send-Off, personal letters, Candlelight, return meal), both
those who prepared for the event and those who were simply
there to provide visible support to the retreatants. There
is usually an e-mail sent out to the larger ACTS community
detailing when the next retreat will be and when the various
events will occur. Please consider participating in these
weekend events. If you ever have questions about the
schedule or possible roles you can play, please contact one
of the Core Team members listed below.
The next area of involvement pertains to the numerous
“post-ACTS retreat” activities that are available.
There are various support groups meeting during the week
that offer opportunity for spiritual growth, sharing and
fellowship. In addition, the ACTS choir routinely sings at
various Masses each month as well as for numerous special
Masses. Again, the ACTS e-mail network along with the
contacts listed below can provide insight on some of these
opportunities.
Yet another important area of involvement pertains to our
parish life
and the multiple ministries that are always in need of
angels who are willing to provide their time and talent.
The parish office can provide a listing of the various
ministries and, specifically, those ministries most in need
of volunteers. Contact the parish office at 575-4741
for more information.
The final area of involvement (which is among the most
important) involves your personal prayers for our
parish, our ACTS retreatants and team members and the world
in which we live. The power of prayer is awesome.
Please feel free to contact any of the following individuals
who comprise the current OLV ACTS Core Team.
